DID YOU KNOW THAT PSYCHOLOGICAL ASTROLOGY, IN ADDITION TO BEING PREDICTIVE, CAN ALSO BE THERAPEUTIC?
According to the tradition of Vedic astrology, the right gems can correct the less harmonious aspects of our horoscope. And this is so because character is destiny. Therefore, if it is possible to correct one’s character by making it more harmonious, then our destiny* will also be more favorable.
*Destiny: We do not believe that our reality is predetermined. But we do believe that a therapeutic intervention can make us more aware and correct our character, which will affect the course of our affairs, allowing everything to flow more smoothly.
And this is so because, just as a character (personality in modern terminology) is a destiny, it is possible to correct the character by making it more harmonious. This is what therapeutic intervention consists of, and as a result, destiny will also change.
DESTINY, THE EVENTS that await us in life, will continue to occur on the same dates marked by the astrological prediction according to its transits, directions, revolutions, etc., but in a more harmonious way.

THE USE OF GEMSTONES IN DIFFERENT CULTURAL TRADITIONS
You might call them gems, stones, minerals, or rock—however you refer to them, crystals are powerful tools for healing and manifesting, coming straight from the core of the Earth.
Crystals and crystal healing have become very popular since the new-age movement of the 1960s, but their healing properties have long been known to the mystics and sages of yore.
Traditionally, people have used gemstones for aesthetic or status reasons, but also in connection with cultural beliefs and traditions that extol the use of gemstones for protection and emotional balance. In this case, it is understood that different cultures across the globe have recognized for centuries that crystals and gemstones possess healing properties that enhance personal well-being.
These are some of the many cultures that traditionally attribute metaphysical properties to gemstones:
- Vedic/Hindu culture (India): strongly linked to astrology (Jyotish).
- Tibetan and Buddhist culture: uses gemstones such as turquoise, coral, and lapis lazuli in ritual objects and jewelry. Turquoise, in particular, is considered a protector and a symbol of life and health.
- Chinese culture (including traditional Chinese medicine): Jade is the most significant, as it represents virtue, protection, luck, and immortality. Certain stones were placed on acupuncture points or worn to balance qi (energy).
- Native American cultures – They use turquoise, pipestone, and abalone shell for protection, healing ceremonies, and connection with nature. Turquoise is a sacred stone for the Navajo and Native Americans.
- Middle Eastern and Islamic Culture – Aqeeq (agate), especially Yemeni agate, is worn by many Muslims as a ring, as it is believed to bring protection, wealth, and to follow the prophetic tradition (Sunnah).
VEDIC ASTROLOGY AND GEMSTONES
Indians firmly believe in Vedic astrology and are very particular about which gemstones they wear. For them, wearing a specific gemstone carries a specific meaning.
Suppose that in your natal chart, your Venus—the signifier of visual attraction, beauty, sensuality, pleasure, finances, and relationships—is in a normal-to-good condition. It also rules two favorable houses, such as the 4th (Taurus) and the 9th (Libra).
When activated by a transit or progression, you can wear a diamond ring to enhance the manifestation of the positive outcomes promised by Venus in your chart.
Likewise, if you have a poorly aspected Venus or one in a delicate configuration, you can use different gemstones to balance and harmonize the planet and everything it represents in your current life.
We will return to this topic later. In this article, we want to detail the therapeutic use of gemstones according to the Vedic tradition.

PSYCHOLOGICAL SIDERAL ASTROLOGY
As we have been saying, psychological astrology is dedicated to interpreting aspects of character and personality, but it also aims to harmonize these aspects as much as possible.
For centuries, in the field of Vedic astrology, precious stones or gems have been used to harmonize and heal the zodiac signs and, therefore, the horoscope or natal chart as a whole.
There is a series of “master” gems that, by the nature of their energy, represent the unadulterated purity of the planets and zodiac signs. This is similar to what occurs in classical homeopathy, where a remedy is sought to correct the personality in order to prevent the “creation of symptoms” as well as to heal preexisting symptoms.
Thus, it is said that the following gemstones harmonize the chakras and the zodiac signs associated with them. And this applies not only to a poorly aspected sun sign, but also to any poorly aspected planet or “stellium” (a group of planets in conjunction) in the house of that sun sign, or in the same sign itself.
Here is a reference table to help you understand how it works.

In other words, it is very important to know the position of natal Saturn by sign, house, and aspects to determine which parts of the natal chart need harmonizing. A poorly aspected stellium in a sign can also indicate corrupted energy, with the consequences this may have in the realm of physical or psychological illness. Let us not forget that a corrupt and impure nature predisposes one to a corrupt destiny, and that personality is equivalent to destiny.
And then keep in mind that the twelve zodiac signs function as six axes through which we activate or deactivate the chakras and harmonize them, in any case. If we consider the inclusion of the third sign, Ophiuchus, perhaps we could then refer to the set of the seven main chakras, which are also the ones that Ayurvedic gem therapy aims to treat.
WHAT ARE CHAKRAS?
To understand what chakras are, one must know that everything that exists—visible and invisible—is energy. Based on this, the various energy centers found in our body can be understood as “chakras.” These energy points generate, accumulate, and distribute universal life energy throughout our body.
Many describe them as entry points (portals) for energy. There are seven main energy centers, and each is closely linked to one or more physical organs, as well as to emotions and the colors of the spectrum (those into which sunlight is broken down). An imbalance in these energy centers disrupts the functioning of the organs that depend on them.

To harmonize the energy centers or “chakras,” each gemstone acts through its specific vibration and color, helping to unblock or enhance vital functions, according to the tradition of gem therapy. This tradition, as we mentioned, originated in India within the context of Vedic astrology (Jyotish) and Ayurvedic medicine.
THE DIAGNOSIS
Ailments arise in the body when the seven cosmic colors of the chakras (the energetic rainbow) are disrupted. However, as we mentioned, specific colors are not assigned to each chakra or ailment. A pendulum or biotensor is used to select the required color frequency. There are many variables involved in each ailment, and it is not possible to predict that this or that gemstone will cure a particular condition. Furthermore, each person is a unique individual in whom disorders manifest in a particular way. It follows that, regardless of the characteristics described for each master gemstone, some gemstones may be useful to some people but not to others.

Let us not fall into the trap of using just any stone or crystal because they all have very attractive properties, and it seems they are all equally beneficial. Certainly, they all offer properties and benefits, but the key is knowing which property or benefit we need at this precise moment and in this specific life context. Crystals interact with human energy in particular ways; the same crystal can feel vastly different in the hands of different individuals. Pay attention to each crystal’s weight, its color(s), shape, size, texture, and how it feels in your hand. Also, use a pendulum or biotensor to determine wich one suits you better.
It is important to study the strengths and weaknesses of our birth chart and use a pendulum to determine the energy we need at a specific moment and situation in our lives. It is also advisable to consult the pendulum or biotensor to determine how long we will need to carry the gem to unblock and reharmonize the energy.

To make this determination, therefore, it is advisable to use a pendulum or biotensor before beginning to use any of these stones, or a combination of them. The horoscope can give us clues about the aspects and energies that need to be harmonized, but the ultimate truth lies within our “higher self,” which is the one that truly knows which energies we need to harmonize at a specific moment in our lives. And, for this, the biotensor is the best way to verify it.
First and foremost, the goal is to identify which energy ray or rays are out of balance, as these are the source of energy for the chakras—the energy centers that govern our vital organs.

Once we have determined the cosmic ray of light that needs to be reharmonized, we will proceed to find out which stone or stones from that band of light (cosmic ray) we need.
Each crystal and gemstone emits a vibration that resonates with the energies of the different chakras and the organs and health issues associated with that chakra. And within a single cosmic ray of light and energy, there is still a fairly broad spectrum of light tones and, therefore, of gemstones that represent it. Depending on the type of blockage we have, we will need certain gems corresponding to that band of light to correct and reharmonize it.

For example, within the blue cosmic ray—which corresponds to the fifth chakra and corrects imbalances in the throat area, including both physical symptoms and communication issues—we can find a wide variety of gemstones to address them:
From lapis lazuli, through blue topaz—which is a master gem—or turquoise, and ending with the lighter shades of the spectrum, represented by gems such as larimar or aquamarine.

And although, according to the traditions of different schools and healing systems, gemstones may be attributed to different color rays, that is not the most important thing. It is simply a matter of knowing which color ray we need to harmonize and which gemstones will work best for us to achieve that.

It is also important to have a basic understanding of which gemstones work on each chakra, and for this, the Vedic classification works very well; the master gemstones detailed by doctors such as Bhattacharya are very accurate in their descriptions.
THE STONES OF THE 9 PLANETS. AYURVEDIC GEM THERAPY
In Vedic astrology, there is a direct relationship between the nine major planets and certain specific gemstones. It is believed that gemstones act as conduits to attract cosmic energy and mitigate the negative effects of the planets in one’s personal horoscope. Although the idea that gemstones possess properties is ancient and shared by other civilizations, the structured system of prescribing gemstones based on the natal chart (astrological chart) is a fundamental characteristic of the Indian tradition. Gem therapy in India is considered a therapeutic and energetic science deeply connected to the movement of the stars and human well-being.
In this section, we will discuss the correspondences of planetary energies according to Dr. Bhattacharya (1897–1964) of India, who is the foremost exponent of the Ayurvedic gem therapy tradition. According to this doctor, in our view the most reliable author on gem therapy of Ayurvedic origin, gemstones are reservoirs of the cosmic rays that compose the universe and correspond to the seven rays into which sunlight is broken down—that is, the seven rays of the rainbow—and to the seven chakras or energy centers of our body. For this reason, he assigns a gemstone to each of the colors or cosmic rays with the aim of harmonizing the universal energy that corresponds to that chakra and to that hue of sunlight.
According to this doctor, it is possible to benefit from the properties of gemstones not only by wearing jewelry with the gemstone in contact with the skin, but also orally by ingesting a homeopathic solution (extract) containing the energy of the prescribed gemstone.
A HISTORICAL NOTE ON THE VEDIC TRADITION
The ancient treatise “Anubhut Yogmala” states that different gemstones are related to different parts of the body as follows:
| GEM | Organic Correspondence | GEM | Organic Correspondence |
| RUBY | Blood | Garnet Hessonite | Semen |
| PEARL | Teeth | CAT’S EYE | Sound |
| EMERALD | Bile | TOURMALINE | Nails |
| YELLOW SAPPHIRE | Skin | LAPIS LAZULI | Vision |
| DIAMOND/Zircon | Bones | AGATE | Whole Body |
| BLUE SAPPHIRE | Eyes | ROCK CRYSTAL | Fats |
But gemstones are not only associated with parts of the body but also with planets and, consequently, with their characteristics. The association between the 9 planets and gemstones is described in the ancient text “Jatak Parijat”:
| GEM | PLANET | QUALITIES |
| RUBY | Sun | Masculine Principle. Independence, Enlightens and Purifies |
| PEARL | Moon | Feminine Principle. Receptivity, Sensitivity, and Intuition |
| RED CORAL | Mars | Authority, Courage, and Combat |
| EMERALD | Mercury | Neutral, Emotional, and Hopeful |
| YELLOW SAPPHIRE | Jupiter | Disciplined, Cooperative, and Priestly |
| DIAMOND/Zircon | Venus | Femininity, Beauty, and Attractiveness |
| BLUE SAPPHIRE | Saturn | Slow, Inert, and Neutral |
| Hessonite Garnet | Rahu | Active and Destructive |
| CAT’S EYE | Ketu | Disturbing and Distorting |
Logically, these treatises, which date back more than 1,000 years, do not include gemstones representing the energy of the transpersonal planets (Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto), which, as we know, were discovered in the eighteenth century. Instead, and according to the Vedic astrological tradition, they include gemstones that represent the energies of the lunar nodes (Ketu and Rahu, the head and tail of the dragon).
HOW TO USE MASTER GEMS
As we mentioned, wearing one of these stones as a necklace, earrings, ring, etc., meditating with them, or making elixirs with them allows you to realign the chakras and reharmonize your vital energy.

MASTER GEMS
According to Ayurvedic tradition, maintaining health depends on the balance of cosmic rays. The key to the healing process lies in providing the colors that are lacking and neutralizing those that are in excess.
Each of the cosmic chromatic rays thus represents one of the elements and its subtle substance. Thus, violet symbolizes the element of air and the sense of touch, serving as nourishment for the nerves and skin. Green symbolizes earth and the sense of smell. Orange symbolizes water and the sense of taste. Blue represents ether and sound. Red represents fire and sight. Yellow represents fire, particularly the fire of digestion. Indigo (Venus) symbolizes the secondary element of water, which exists in the human body in the form of thick lymph and semen.
The red of the ruby supports vision. The orange pearl, with its quality of taste, distributes fluids throughout the body. The yellow coral is responsible for the body’s thermal balance. The emerald, the color of the earth element, with its quality of smell, balances acids during the digestive process. Topaz, or moonstone, with its quality of ether, harmonizes sounds. The indigo of the diamond is antiseptic and regulates the proper functioning of thick lymph. Sapphire, with its quality of touch, nourishes the skin and balances the nerves.

DESCRIPTION OF LIGHT RAYS
RED COSMIC RAY: Under a prism, the ruby gemstone displays a crimson red hue associated with the Sun, representing the soul within the human body. The ruby exerts a special influence over the skeletal and circulatory systems, with the heart at the center, upon which bodily strength rests. The ruby strengthens the bones and prevents anemia.
In chromotherapy, red light helps increase vitality and motivation: It is used to combat apathy, chronic fatigue, lack of physical energy, and depression. It stimulates circulation and promotes blood flow by slightly raising body temperature. It treats disorders related to cold (such as rheumatism caused by low temperatures), anemia, and circulatory problems.
According to Roland Hunt, author of “The Seven Keys to Chromotherapy,” red rays are most suitable for individuals prone to ailments such as circulatory system diseases, anemia, physical weakness and fatigue, colds, mental weakness, etc.
Other gemstones that emit red rays and could serve as substitutes for the ruby, with some nuances, include: rubellite, various types of garnets, hematite, red jasper, carnelian…

The ruby is associated with the Sun and the Vision.
Also skeletal and circulatory systems. Harmonizes the circulatory system and prevents anemia, physical weakness, fatigue, colds, and circulatory system disorders …
ORANGE COSMIC RAY: The pearl emits cool orange-colored waves which, according to Battacharya, have the power to heal illnesses caused by heat. The pearl is associated with the Moon. Orange rays have yielded good results in cases where the blood, muscle tissue, adipose tissue, or bone tissue need to counteract heat by stopping fevers and hemorrhages caused by this condition. It is associated with the sacral chakra, helping to release blockages related to pleasure, sociability, and vitality.
In chromotherapy, the orange light ray is primarily used to cure or alleviate apathy, fatigue, and emotional imbalances. As a warm and stimulating color, it is used to combat depression, discouragement, and laziness. It awakens optimism, creativity, and the joy of living. On a physical level, it stimulates metabolic functions, reduces inflammation, supports the respiratory system, and relieves kidney discomfort.
According to Roland Hunt, the color orange is very helpful for numerous ailments such as colds, bronchitis, asthma, bleeding of any origin, diarrhea, insomnia, kidney infections, and urinary stones. It is suitable for treating phlegmy or productive coughs, gout, rheumatism, nephritis, gallstones, prolapse, amenorrhea, mental weakness, dementia, and anger…
Other gemstones that emit orange rays and could act as substitutes for the pearl, with some nuances, are: carnelian, orange moonstone, citrine, tiger’s eye…

The pearl is linked to the Moon. It governs the Sense of Taste. And it regulates the distribution of fluids in the body.

Other gems that belong to this ray are: Moonstone, carnelian, citrine, hessonite or orange garnet, orange calcite …
YELLOW COSMIC RAY: It is directly linked to the solar plexus chakra, which governs willpower, self-esteem, and personal power. The yellow ray is associated with the planet Mars, and coral is the master gem that best represents it. Mars rules the head, spinal cord, and genitals.
The yellow ray of light is associated with the intellect, the nervous system, and the digestive system. In this sense, this ray promotes mental and emotional well-being by dispelling sadness and combating apathy. Furthermore, it stimulates learning, creativity, and good humor. Coral emits warm yellowish rays that dry up the thick lymphs of the human body. Yellow rays can eliminate extreme forms of mental depression, jaundice, and liver ailments.
In chromotherapy, the yellow ray of light is primarily used to treat mental fatigue, promote concentration, improve clarity of thought, and balance digestive issues related to the spleen and stomach. It is believed that this ray acts as a purifying agent, stimulating the central nervous system and aiding digestive processes.
Roland Hunt states that yellow rays are particularly suitable for individuals prone to stomach disorders, indigestion, and a variety of related ailments such as constipation, liver disorders, flatulence, diabetes, hemorrhoids, skin conditions, and nervous exhaustion. Coral nourishes the spinal cord, preventing the impatience characteristic of individuals dominated by the planet Mars.
Other gemstones that emit yellow rays of light and could act as substitutes for coral, with some nuances, are: yellow sapphire, yellow topaz, citrine, tiger’s eye, yellow calcite…

The coral has to make with the spinal cord, head, and genitals, preventing the impatience characteristic of the planet Mars. Thermal balance of the body.

Other gems taht belong to this ray are: Yellow sapphire, yellow topaz, citrine, tiger’s eye, sunstone, yellow calcite…
GREEN COSMIC RAY: The green ray of light is considered the color of balance, harmony, and regeneration. It is directly associated with the heart chakra and is used to heal emotional disturbances and physical ailments, as it helps alleviate stress, anxiety, insomnia, and depression, bringing feelings of calm, hope, and stability.
In chromotherapy, it is used to address physical symptoms by toning the nervous and cardiovascular systems, balancing glandular functions, and stimulating cell growth and regeneration (supporting recovery from fractures or muscle issues). It is also an anti-inflammatory and decongestant, commonly used to treat acne, fade skin blemishes, and reduce redness. Some studies explore its use to alleviate light sensitivity and reduce the severity of migraine attacks.
The emerald gemstone is a source of green cosmic rays, which correspond to the planet Mercury, the messenger of the gods. Green rays are cooling and represent the earth element, which governs the heavy viscera, bones, muscles, liver, spleen, kidneys, intestines, etc…
According to Roland Hunt, green rays are necessary for heart disorders, high blood pressure, ulcers, cancer, headaches, neuralgia, influenza, syphilis, erysipelas, etc. The rays emitted by the emerald have been observed to be healing for asthma, burns, wounds, ulcers, skin diseases, and high blood pressure. Green has a clear fattening effect.
Other gemstones that emit green light rays and could act as substitutes for the emerald, with some nuances, are: green jade, green fluorite, aventurine, amazonite, peridot, chrysoprase, and malachite. (Rose quartz could likely be better classified among the red-ray gemstones, but some traditions include it in the heart chakra. It’s not a problem; the important thing is to use the biotensor to assess whether we need it) …

The emerald is linked to the planet Mercury and the sense of smell. Green rays are cool and represent the earth element, which governs the heavy viscera, bones, muscles, liver, spleen, kidneys, intestines …
Harmonize heart conditions, high blood pressure, ulcers, cancer, headaches, neuralgia, the flu… Emeralds have been found to be effective in treating asthma, burns, wounds, ulcers, skin conditions, and high blood pressure. The color green has a clear weight-gaining effect.
Other gems that belong to this ray are: Green jade, green fluorite, aventurine, amazonite, peridot, chrysoprase, malachite, chrysocolla…
BLUE COSMIC RAY: It is associated with the throat chakra. The empty spaces within the body, where the life force resides, are governed by this etheric principle nourished by blue rays, which are under the influence of the planet Jupiter. The adipose system and the glands receive their nourishment from the cosmic blue, making it useful for treating obesity. In general, it governs the internal secretions of the glands, and for this reason it has been used successfully in cases of adenitis (inflammation or infection of one or more lymph nodes, often caused by bacterial or viral infections). Blue topaz belongs to the etheric principle that imparts vital force to all animate and inanimate creation.
In chromotherapy, the blue band of the light spectrum is primarily used as a natural sedative aimed at reducing stress, balancing the nervous system, and promoting relaxation, as it helps lower anxiety levels and facilitates meditation. It is frequently used to combat insomnia and improve the quality and rhythm of sleep. It is also associated with reducing muscle pain, lowering blood pressure, and reducing inflammation. For this reason, in the field of aesthetics, it is used as an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent to treat acne and promote skin recovery.
Roland Hunt states that blue rays are indispensable for treating the following conditions: Generally, throat problems (whooping cough, tonsillitis, laryngitis, goiter, hoarseness, dry cough) and fevers such as scarlet fever, typhoid, cholera, bubonic plague, smallpox, chickenpox, measles, canker sores…
As well as conditions such as: stroke, epilepsy, palpitations, spasms, rheumatism, vomiting, colic, dysentery, diarrhea, jaundice, inflamed intestines, itching, scabies, and painful menstruation.

Ether governs the empty spaces of the body through its quality of sound. Glands and the adipose system. Blue rays are under the influence of the planet Jupiter.
It harmonizes the thyroid gland. Throat problems (whooping cough, tonsillitis, laryngitis, goiter, hoarseness, dry cough) and fevers such as scarlet fever, typhoid, cholera, bubonic plague, smallpox, chickenpox, measles, canker sores… As well as disorders such as: stroke, epilepsy, palpitations, spasms, rheumatism, vomiting, colic, dysentery, diarrhea, jaundice, inflamed intestines, itching, scabies, painful menstruation…
Other gems that belong to this ray are: lapis lazuli, turquoise, aquamarine, moonstone, variscite, larimar, sodalite, amazonite, chrysocolla…
INDIGO COSMIC RAY: It is associated with the third eye chakra. The indigo band of the light spectrum lies between blue and violet. When a diamond is viewed through a prism, it appears indigo blue. In the human body, this color represents all thick lymphs, including dense secretions such as pus, sputum or phlegm from the bronchi, and semen.
Indigo belongs to the planet Venus, and like the diamond, it corresponds to the water element. That is why it is said that the diamond contains the six tastes: sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter, and astringent. This is why Ayurveda considers it a remedy for the simultaneous imbalance of the three doshas: vayu (air), pitta (fire), and kapha (water).
In chromotherapy, the indigo band of the light spectrum is primarily used to balance the mind, calm the senses, and stimulate intuition. As a cool color, it is attributed with purifying and restorative properties. In holistic medicine, it is associated with the relief of conditions related to the head and face (such as headaches or problems with the eyes, nose, and ears) and is used as a purifying aid for skin problems and allergies.
According to Roland Hunt, indigo rays are effective for the following conditions: eye disorders, urinary tract disorders, epilepsy, nose and ear ailments, facial paralysis, and general lung conditions such as pneumonia, bronchitis, diphtheria, whooping cough, asthma, tuberculosis, dyspepsia, convulsions, delirium, obsession, and other forms of insanity. These rays have cured leukoderma, appendicitis, and purulent tonsillitis.
Other gemstones that emit indigo rays and could act as substitutes for the diamond, with some nuances, are: zirconia, rock crystal, clear quartz, selenite …

Indigo ray belongs to the planet Venus and corresponds to the water principle. For this reason, it is said that the diamond contains the six tastes: sweet, sour, salty, spicy, bitter, and astringent. In the human body, it represents all thick lymphatic fluids, including dense secretions such as pus, phlegm, and semen.
Harmonizes eye disorders, urinary tract disorders, epilepsy, nose and ear ailments, facial paralysis, general lung conditions such as pneumonia, bronchitis, diphtheria, whooping cough, asthma, tuberculosis, dyspepsia, convulsions, delirium, obsession, and other forms of insanity. These rays have cured leukoderma, appendicitis, and purulent tonsillitis.
Other gems that belong to this ray are: Zircon, rock crystal, clear quartz, selenite …
VIOLET COSMIC RAY: This ray is associated with the crown chakra. Violet is the color of the air element, which is why, during storms, the surrounding landscape takes on that hue predominantly. Violet satisfies the hunger of the nerves. The cosmic color of human skin is also violet, so the master gem of this ray, the sapphire, can nourish the skin and heal skin diseases.
Blue sapphire appears violet when viewed through a prism. The planet associated with this gem is mighty Saturn. Very chronic cases of leukoderma* have been healed by the rays of this stone. It also provides great relief for back pain, especially in the lower back, as well as for rheumatic pain, sciatica, and chronic skin disorders.
*Leucoderma or vitiligo is the loss or reduction of skin pigmentation that causes white patches on the skin, due to the absence or destruction of melanocytes (cells that produce color).
Chromotherapist Roland Hunt asserts that violet rays are effective against the following conditions: nervous and mental disorders, neuralgias, sciatica, scalp conditions, epilepsy, cerebrospinal meningitis, concussion, cramps, rheumatism, and kidney and bladder weakness. Hunt adds that violet vitalizes and cleanses venous blood, which is why it is effective in controlling bleeding, especially that associated with menstruation. It is particularly effective for chronic skin conditions, ulcers, and rheumatic pain.
Other gemstones that emit violet rays and could serve as substitutes for blue sapphire, with some nuances, include: amethyst, labradorite, tanzanite, kyanite, purple fluorite…

Violet is the color of the air element. The violet ray (Saturn) nourishes the skin and nerves and refers to the touch sense.
This gem harmonizes nervous and mental disorders, neuralgias, sciatica, scalp conditions, epilepsy, cerebrospinal meningitis, concussion, cramps, rheumatism, weakness of the kidneys and bladder. It vitalizes and cleanses the venous blood, controlling hemorrhages. It is especially effective for chronic skin conditions, ulcers, and rheumatic pain.
Other gems that belong to this ray are: Amethyst, labradorite, tanzanite, kyanite, purple fluorite …
ULTRAVIOLET COSMIC RAY-Rahu-Head: This is the coldest of the cosmic rays and should be used only when there are problems with excessive heat. Zircon is a concentrate of ultraviolet cosmic rays. So is onyx*.
In chromotherapy, however, the ultraviolet (UV) light spectrum has various interesting applications. Currently, this light is primarily used to stimulate the immune system, promote vitamin D production, regulate hormonal and emotional balance, and treat dermatological conditions such as psoriasis and vitiligo. It has an antibacterial effect that is used to purify and aid in the healing of superficial skin infections. Unlike visible colors (used to regulate emotions and energy), ultraviolet light acts more on a physiological level.
According to tradition: ultraviolet is useful for hyperacidity, burning sensations, and discomfort caused by an excess of (vayu) air. It increases appetite and aids digestion. It also appears to help with insomnia and during labor. It may also be useful for neurological disorders and glandular diseases.
*Onyx is a chalcedony gemstone (a variety of quartz) known for its intense black color, though it may feature parallel white bands.

The North Lunar Node is not a planet per se, and its ultraviolet ray (the coldest radiation that exists) lies outside the spectrum of light visible to the human eye.
Harmonizes disorders resulting from excessive heat (hyperacidity, burning) and discomfort due to an excess of (vayu) air.
INFRARED COSMIC RAY-Ketu-Tail: The cat’s eye gemstone is a concentration of infrared cosmic rays. Ketu is the lunar node known as the Dragon’s Tail.
In chromotherapy, its primary uses are therapeutic and aesthetic, harnessing the deep heat it generates to stimulate natural biological processes. Its most notable applications are:
Relief of muscle and joint pain: Deep heat relaxes tense muscles and reduces stiffness, aiding in injury recovery and the relief of ailments.
Stimulation of circulation: It improves blood microcirculation, which increases oxygenation and the supply of nutrients to cells.
Skin rejuvenation: It stimulates fibroblast activity, boosting the natural production of collagen and elastin. This helps reduce fine lines and improve elasticity.
Inflammation reduction: Helps reduce local inflammation and accelerates tissue regeneration and healing.
According to Ayurvedic tradition: The application of the hottest of the cosmic rays is often necessary for chronic conditions. Even some cases of cancer have responded to the vibrations of this gemstone. Infrared draws out excess water (kapha) and air (vayu).

The South Lunar Node is not a planet in itself, and its infrared ray (the hottest radiation that exists) lies outside the spectrum of light visible to the human eye.
The hottest of the cosmic rays is often necessary for chronic conditions. Even cancer. Diseases such as paralysis, viral croup, acne and skin ailments, cholera, nervous weakness, smallpox, and uterine diseases respond to infrared…
Other diseases that respond to cosmic infrared radiation include paralysis, viral croup, acne and skin conditions, cholera, nervous weakness, smallpox, and uterine diseases.
Conclusion
- It is not advisable to use different types of gemstones without knowing their energetic qualities and how they might be affecting us, especially when wearing them continuously. Let’s be careful when buying a crystal or gemstone or when receiving one as a gift. Let’s make sure we can return or exchange it if strange or harmful things happen in our lives.
- Gems and crystals possess an intrinsic and subtle energetic quality that affects us when we wear them in contact with our skin. This subtlety, much like homeopathic medicines—though less perceptible—has a much deeper impact on our energetic bodies. Crystals are, therefore, a powerful form of energetic medicine, with side effects just like any other medicine. Let us, therefore, use them mindfully.
